To install a child safety seat in your vehicle, you first need to figure out where the seat will be. The safest place is usually in the middle of the back seat, but that isn't always an option. Thread the seatbelt through the correct belt path for the direction in which your seat is facing. Make sure that there are no twists in the belt, and lock it in place. Check the angle of the safety seat to make sure it's level, and tighten the belt so the seat doesn't move.
