The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that has been in production since the late 1990s. Early models were available with both gas and diesel engines, but Chevrolet decided to discontinue the diesel option. The engine on the latest model is a 4.3 liter V6 that generates 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and can be paired with either rear-wheel drive or 4WD. The base model comes with power locks, mirrors, and windows, cruise control, air conditioning, keyless entry/ignition/glove box lock, an eight speaker stereo system with CD player and AUX/USB inputs, Bluetooth connectivity to support hands free phone usage, and remote vehicle start.
The bed of the truck measures 6'6" in length by 4'3" in width at the floor (width towards cab is 46") with a 5/8" plywood sub-flooring. It includes four tie-down hooks but lacks a drain plug.
The interior features of the truck are powered by OnStar, Chevrolet MyLink Radio, and four 12 V power outlets for users to plug in their portable electronic devices.
